Ryan Gentry is a freelance writer, photographer, and experienced guide. He is an A-10 Unit Asst. Superintendent currently serving on active duty (15 years) in the US Air Force, with 24 months deployed to various assignments. He has served as an Air Advisor, Forward Arming & Refueling Point team lead, and Crew Chief on all fighter aircraft platforms in the Air Force inventory. His passion, aside from aviation, is Western hunting and photography, “shooting photos and projectiles,” he often says. In the free time from his military service, Ryan can be found anywhere in the US, chasing any big game a state will give him a tag for, from the Great Plains and the Florida swamps to the brutal desert Southwest and into the Rockies. There isn’t a single geographical area Ryan shies away from when it comes to hunting. Ryan’s photos can be seen on various hunting company Instagram feeds, and he has been hosted on the podcast Big Hunt Guys: The GOHUNT Podcast, Ahi Va, as well as published articles in Eastman’s Hunting Journal.
