KUIU, an American company known for designing and producing innovative high-performance hunting gear, just released its new Encounter hunting apparel line, engineered specifically for whitetail hunters. With the announcement coming just weeks before early bow season opens in states across the Southeast, deer hunters will be well equipped to shake it, bake it, and cake it this fall.

The KUIU Encounter collection includes a vest, jacket, and pants designed as a system, with an ultra-quiet outer layer and a mid-layer fleece Zip-T and baselayer fleece bottom to go underneath. The uninsulated softshell outerwear layers are made to fit perfectly over the fleece insulation layers, all in the same size, taking the guesswork out of sizing multiple layers.

Perfect for early- to mid-season treestand hunting, the Encounter system has everything you could wish for, including magnetic closure pockets and quiet slide zippers so you can grab your snacks and deer calls in ninja-quiet stealth mode. The pockets also have internal compartments for stowing heat packs in case those mid-autumn days turn extra chilly.

The vest and jacket feature handy safety harness ports, so you can slip your safety gear comfortably beneath your outer layers.

Layers have an ultra-quiet, low-sheen outer layer and a bonded jacquard fleece interior. The design helps keep you warm on long frigid sits and maintains breathability for optimal temperature regulation when temps climb midday. Outer layers also offer pit zips for extra ventilation when hiking to and from your stand or dragging out your target buck.

Each piece in the system also features an Odorex anti-odor treatment to keep human scent from wafting toward big bucks in the area.

KUIU’s Encounter pants are water-, wind-, and odor-resistant. They also feature removable suspenders, pockets for days, and lower-leg zips so you can easily slip them on and off without removing your hunting boots.

For most pieces, hunters can choose from KUIU’s Valo, Verde, and Vias camo patterns or solid black or ash.
